A busy weekend with thanksgiving travelers

This weekend is one of the busiest weekend for us at the candy store. We saw a lot of of  familiars faces though out the weekend, as well as meeting new ones. Friday we made our most favorite hard candy drop, which is lemon drops. Which is made up of lemon flavoring and is very good and not over powering. We also made horehound sticks as well because we were out. To make our horehound flavoring we have to brew a tea and let it set for awhile. Most people do not like the smell or taste of horehound, but I like it because it reminds me of good times I had with my great grandma because it was a candy she loved. Saturday I worked a half a day because I had other commitments I had to attended to but we cooked up pecan fudge. Sunday we were very busy, we also had  a lot of kids come into the store and watch us make our grape flavored lollipops. I mostly ran the cash register then help on the table because of all the people.
