Third entry

This weekend at Henry's was a fun weekend for us. Friday I worked a full day of helping customers and making candy. We had a young students from Winfield come over after they went to stone barn pumpkin patch. It was so fun seeing how the kids reacted to what me and the other candy makers were doing just the small stuff. That day we made horehound because we were complete out of it.  Horehound is made out of a herb that we have to buy, it is getting harder for us to find the herb because it's pharmacy herb. The old saying for horehound is have one a day keeps the cold away. We were a little hasten to give first and second graders this candy because not a lot of kids would like it because of its bitterness. I took some out and was surprised that so many kids wanted to try it and they liked it. But the best thing that happened was seeing a smile on every kids face and them all thanking us.
Saturday was another full day for us at the store. We made my less favorite things to make and that is peanut brittle and pecoflake. The reason why it's my less favorite thing is because of the smell and how time consumer it is to do everything to it. Peanut brittle is just carmel and peanuts that has become really hard and crunchy. Pecoflake is using coconut instead of peanuts. I like eating these candies I just don't like making and packing them.
One question that I get constantly ask is "do you ever get tired of candy." I can honestly say no that I don't I really don't eat that much candy at the store because I'm constantly doing work. I'm either helping make candy or bagging it sealing it and labeling it, or waiting on the customers, and doing whatever is ask of me. I am so lucky to have a job like this because I know not many teenagers get jobs like this and to be part of something that has been around for so many years and has bought so much happiness to people and how people keep coming back
